Position Summary
Schedule: Hourly, Non-Exempt
The Customer Billing Specialist position is responsible for both routine and non-routine, moderately
complex customer billing functions, and following appropriate procedures for timely and accurate
preparation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel is preferred. Knowledge of billing
software system is preferred but not required in Open Ticket and Open Invoice. Must have a valid
driver’s license, have an acceptable driving record, and be able to pass a drug test.

Timekeeping – Employees are responsible for accurately tracking their time by clocking in and out and entering ticket numbers into their timesheets. If a punch is missed, they must promptly notify their supervisor to ensure accurate records. Integrity in timekeeping is essential, and adherence to company policies is expected.

Position Specific Expectations
- Report directly to the Billing Manager, providing accurate and timely daily billing support for the organization.
- Collaborate with operations and accounting departments to ensure billing accuracy by identifying data inconsistencies and preventing errors through attention to detail.
- Process and manage invoice updates in Open Invoice.
- Submit tickets to Open Ticket and Open Invoice platforms for tracking and processing.
- Maintain a detailed catalog of invoices that require updates and ensure timely processing upon approval.
- Verify that all invoices align with current customer pricing agreements.
- Utilize and submit spreadsheets efficiently, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Validate geographic locations, equipment inventory, well dates, and labor costs on each invoice before submission to customers.
- Cross-check field tickets with invoice and spreadsheet information to ensure consistency before submission.
- Demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks, utilizing direct experience to manage billing operations effectively.
- Manage side projects efficiently while meeting deadlines for primary billing tasks.
- Communicate professionally with customers and employees to address invoice inquiries and clarifications.
- Process and submit credits and disputes in a timely manner, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Support coworkers by providing coverage during vacations or unexpected absences.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid driver’s license CDL not required.
- Two (2) years of experience in the roustabout trade, and one (1) year of
supervisory experience highly preferred but not required. - Ability to think critically and strategically.
- High level of communication skills (Verbal, written, and electronic).
- Ability to life a min of 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Must be willing to work rotating weekends.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
